As you know, I took a cruise from April 18, 2026 to April 25, 2026. (See Cruises - 3, M-1 to M-6.) After the cruise, I took JetBlue to St. Croix. I stayed on St. Croix from April 25th to May 1st. My sister, Gloria, picked me up from the airport and dropped me off when it was time to leave. These are the photos I took while on St. Croix. On May 1st, I took photos leaving St. Croix, over Florida, leaving Miami and over NY. The photos taken April 25th to May 1 will appear in St. Croix R-1 and R-2.

St. Croix - April 25, 2026

Made from bottle tops, wire, etc.

The 69 restaurant is out of business.
The gentleman from the dive shop recommended Tap Deck.
The food was good.

The beautiful sunset continues

It just got to be incredible

And it kept changing

More of it

And more changes

Incredible right????

Just enjoy the photos as I did the sunset!!

April 26, 2026

The Jewel visited St. Croix on April 26th. This may be the last cruise from San Juan before heading to Florida.

Jewel of the Seas

Various shots from Hill Street through all the
"galleries" on Strand Street.
Different settings used.

2nd setting
(This idea took place twice. I will do it again when
the "galleries" were lighted by the sun setting.)

What will eventually be the baseball field

Another view

Was any progress made since me last visit????

What do you think?

How many people will fit?
See below to see how the beams are being installed.

Are these seats?
The beams seen were placed after the concrete was installed in the entire area.

The Jewel from the baseball park

And look what I found!! Wild cucumbers.

Is this the field? Is it adequate?

St. Partick's from the deck of the baseball field to be.

Housing on left. Mostly empty.
Center. Still used by legislature?

Fort Frederik

Jewel of the Seas.
Bar/food hut on Frederiksted Beach.

Concrete had to be removed to install the green beams.
Say what? Wherever there is a beam, the concrete had to be broken into. Beams in photo above.

Moko Jumbie close to pier.

A group of snorkelers from the Jewel.

Jewl of the Seas

What will this be?

Corner of Market and King Streets.
What was at the location over the years.

Heading for Sandy Point

And the Jewel on its way

Jewel looks as if close to Sandy Point

And the Jewel keeps moving.

Now looks like it's very close to Sandy Point.

Same as set abobe but this one includes the sun setting.
We once called this building Royal Dane.

At one point, Royal Dane was a hotel.
Hill and Strand Streets

The sun makes everything glow

Just incredibly beautiful

I stayed at the Fred on Strand and Queen Cross Streets in Frederiksted. The hotel has a bar, pool, beach, and serves food. It's a beautiful place. I had stayed here shortly after it initially opened for business. It has since expanded and added more rooms in different buildings.

The room I stayed in, 1204 on the 2nd floor of the main building, was nice. It was comfortable. Service provided daily. The bathroom was big enough, but the sink was on the dresser. This combination was something I had to get used to. Forgot to take photos of the room furnishings.

However, to get into my room I needed a key due to a lock installed on the door. It was the only room on the floor with a lock. Was the door broken? Did something happen in the room that caused the door to be forcibly opened? I did not ask. You can see the photos below.

April 27, 2026

The name and number of my room

The number of the room

Why is there blue tape on the door?
The QR Code on above door handle is what
would normally be used to open the door.

The only room on the 2nd floor with a lock
If I remember correctly, there were 3 other
rooms on the floor.

The inside of the door.
Talk about being secure while I sleep!!

April 28, 2026

A chicken nesting in one of the flower pots on the main floor of The Fred.
(You will see her eggs at a later date. She refused to budge!!)

Artwork in the area we called Crooked House

Does this have a name?

I didn't look for name. Is something written
in white on grass? Only saw that as I was posting
this photo.

Lighthouse Area - April 28, 2026

Explanation of Lighthouse

I tried my best to make it readable.
