Sunday, June 29, 2025

After many years of not attending the Pride Parade, I decided to go this year. It was a beautiful warm sunny day. For the most part, I stood in the shade with beautiful people around me. I was on 5th Avenue between 23rd and 22nd Streets, opposite the Flatiron Building.

I took the photos that will follow using my S23 Ultra cell phone. There was something wrong with the Lumix camera. The photos were all blurry for no apparent reason. I played around with the settings but had no luck resolving the issue. The camera had fallen a few times over the years and that may have created the problem.

At times, the participants passed me before I was able to read who/what they represented. Some of the photos may not make sense since I didn't know what group/organization they were with. At other times, I captured the rear end of the group/organization.

Almost every group/organization threw items (gifts) into the crowd. Whatever I caught/received, I passed to the guys behind me. Later, I gave them to the folks to my right and/or left. Everyone was happy with what I passed to them. I didn't keep anything for myself.

I arrived at my location at about 9:45 a.m. The parade began at 11 a.m. I headed home at 4:00 p.m. There was still more to come.
