Referred to as a "bomb cyclone", also winter Storm Grayson. It was said to be equivalent to a Cat 3 hurricane. Created havoc from the south
to Maine.



Some places in NYC got more than 12 inches of snow. Schools were closed. It was a day not to sing, "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow".

Sunrise: At 6:46 a.m. this is what I saw. The dark upper portion of this photo is NOT the ceiling of my terrace but instead very dark clouds in the area plus the darkness of the morning at this time. In the darkness, this strip of sunlight was all that was visible.

May 15th - A hot day. It got windy and dark in the afternoon. We had a downpour with thunder and lightning.



In some areas, trees fell. Parked cars were destroyed and so were some homes. Unfortunately, there were a few fatalities.



And the rain came down!!
