Ship waited too long to cross and ended up decaying. (Joke)
Activity around us. Ship in lock. We can't move until the ship in front of us moves.

A Canal worker making sure all's well. He will throw rope on his right to workers below, which will be tied to the train that will pull us. Lumix
As you can see, the ship is being lifted to the Gatun Lake. Trains are called mules.
