On 08/09/2014 when I returned to this area, this was gone. A building was constructed here.

New construction in the High Line area. After I walked up the stairs, I was amazed at the amount of scaffolds around the building.

What got my attention was how colorful they were!!





The new section runs from 30th Street over the Hudson Yards to 34th Street close to the Jacob Javits Center. This section is more rails. Not as many plants.

Explanation of these photos will follow.



Were these photos of me taken on the Edge? No. They were taken before I got on the elevator to the 100th floor. The background, if I remember correctly, was gray. My image was superimposed on the backgrounds. I have experienced similar photography on cruise ships.

Here is what I find funny. I visited The Edge close to 3 p.m. The sun was shining brightly but with somewhat of a haze. The first photo shows me in the proper light. Now look at the photo on the right. The city is all lit up. How? Why?

By the way, I was not asked if I wanted to take the mask off but I understand why. Masks had to be worn on The Edge, in the stores, etc. So with me wearing my mask it makes the photo more realistic.

The third photo is even quirkier. I was never that close to the Vessel and where did all those flowers come from?
