This cruise was on the Adventure of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International. The cruise began April 17th and ended April 24th. We boarded the ship in San Juan.
The ship was beautiful. The Royal Promenade on Deck 5 is something to behold. There is great art displayed throughout the ship. There is something to please everyone.
If one is not interested in dressing up for dinner, there is the Windjammer Café on Deck 11. The buffet style café offers great dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For those interested in dressing up, there is a 3-deck dining room, each deck with a different name (Mozart, Strauss and Vivaldi)! There were 2 formal nights.
We visited Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten/St. Martin and St. Croix, with the first day at sea. This cruise was a gift to myself for my 60th birthday.
I will make an attempt to display photos in order taken.

At every port, the ship hooked up to the local water system. When the hose was removed in Barbados, the water began to shoot into the air. We left the port and the water was still pouring out of the pipe.

Century plant (agave). More information follows
Century Plants is said to bloom only once in their life, the blooming spike is so large and grows so fast that it saps all the resources of the plant, which then dies, leaving a tall wooden seed stalk. The plant is called "century plants" because of this "once in a century" bloom (actually the plant lives an average of 25 years). It was also an important plant to indigenous people, being used for medicines, fiber, needles and food.
My Mother had a century plant n her garden for many years. I remember it bloomed only once.

Card used for everything - opening the cabin door, making purchases, leaving the ship/re-boarding. We changed to Vivaldi, Table 369, Deck 3. Can't recall why the change was made. Possibly a smaller table? One becomes a gold member after more than one cruise with RCI. This was my 4th cruise with RCI.
