On August 3, 2015, I decided to walk across the George Washington Bridge (GWB). I entered the bridge at 179th Street in Manhattan. I took the A train to 175th Street and from there walked to 179th.
I did not get off the bridge on the New Jersey side (Fort Lee).
It took me about an hour to do the entire walk.
The photos were taken from the South sidewalk, since the north sidewall was closed. the side walks are located on the upper level of the bridge. There are bikers and pedestrians on the sidewalk.
